Easter Parade

Today Olivia's school had an Easter Parade.
The kids all came in their decorated Easter hats and then sold candy.  The guy in the blue bunny ears is our neighbor. I was impressed with the innovation when it came to decorating an Easter hat.
Here are some treats being sold (made by parents). It was interesting to see Easter candy in this golden cow with Chinese inscriptions.  About 75% of our school is Asian so if you think about it, they probably don't even celebrate Easter. Another thing that is funny is that 80% of the kids speak English as a second language. Then the school teaches the kids Italian (I know, random!) Anyway, Olivia comes home with all sorts of Italian words from class, and then the equivalent vocab in Chinese from the playground. I guess we are on the road to knowing English, Chinese and Italian (what a combination)!

I love Easter. The hats are darling and I think it's awesome that she will know three languages. GO OLIVIA!

Italian is a worthless modern language to be studying.
